Adrift

A live timer for the minutes that drift away.

Adrift puts a quiet timer in your iPhone's Dynamic Island while you're inside distracting apps — counting the current session as it happens, with gentle reminders at thresholds you choose. It states facts, never verdicts. No account, no dashboard sprawl, no shame.

Your tracker is two small parts in Apple's Shortcuts app, and it lives on your iPhone. On iOS 27 the parts come ready-made; on earlier iOS versions Adrift builds them with you, step by step. That's the point: Adrift never asks permission to watch you.

Setup

On iOS 27 you add two ready-made parts and turn them on. On earlier iOS versions, a floating walkthrough video builds them with you in Shortcuts. Both, written out tap by tap with the fixes for the common snags, are on the setup page.
